Choose Your Weapon - Cooking Apron

From Reeves and Mortimer to the 'Carry On' films there's always something funny about the sight of somebody being hit over the head with a frying pan. In the 'Fawlty Towers' episode 'The Wedding Party' hotel owner Basil hits Manuel the hapless Spanish waiter with one when he mistakes him for a burglar. If the scene looks realistic that's because it was - a prop designer put some padding in one of the pans, but during filming John Cleese picked up the wrong one. Andrew Sachs was almost knocked unconscious and had a headache for days.
