MAY DAY NEW STUFF! YEAH!
May 1st is notable for many things, not least for being Labour Day ('8 hours labour, 8 hours recreation, 8 hours rest') as well as being the day for morris dancers everywhere to, well, morris dance... in 1834 Britain abolished slavery, in 1840 The Penny Black stamp was introduced and in 1852 Calamity Jane was born - and it was a busy day in 1930 when not only was Pluto named (it'll always be a planet to us) but also blues harmonica hero Little Walter was born. His babe don't stand no cheatin' - then again, who does?
This year's May Day was a busy day for us too as we introduced some cool new t-shirt designs, covering everything from pedalos and caravans to barbecues and bears. We worked on them for 8 hours then spent 8 hours dancing around the maypole. We needed a rest after that.
