Scalextric T-shirt

Scalextric was invented by Freddie Francis, and first appeared at the Harrogate Toy Fair in 1957. In 2009 James May, one of the presenters of the implausibly popular television series 'Top Gear', broke the World record for the longest ever Scalextric track when with the help of 300 volunteers he recreated the Brooklands race track on the original site. The original was 2.75 miles long, whereas the Scalextric version was 2.95 miles long as at wasn't possible to exactly follow the original track. They probably thought it was funny, we just think they've got too much time on their hands.

This retro-styled t-shirt comes from the cool UK brand Too Late To Die Young.
