Gola
1905 - What a year! Not only was Las Vegas founded, with all its legal prostitution and gamblin' glory, but the humble football boot was born - handmade in Leicester, England by the good folk of Gola. No one is entirely sure how the now legendary name Gola came about, but the fact that it’s an anagram of the word "Goal" should probably not be overlooked. Canny.
Classic Gola Footwear
Since those halcyon days of pioneering football boot design Gola have honed their skills to create a range of trainers and sports shoes fit for a king. So much so that in 1999 a certain Noel Gallagher of indie giants Oasis asked them to recreate the Classic Gola Harriers - originally released in the late 1960s.
Retro Style Trainers
In the late 1970s and 80s Gola were the trainers to be seen in at school sports days up and down the land and even sponsered the Manchester United kit of 1975. In more recent times Gola have gained true cult status and have stormed into the hearts and minds of trainer connoisseurs everywhere with their retro look and feel, soft leather and low-profile gum-style soles.
