Cornish Pasty Hooded Sweatshirt
In 1971 the Cornish folk singer Brenda Wooton released her 'Pasties And Cream' album which included the song 'There's Something About A Pasty'. Sounds like a bit of a classic doesn't it? Mind you, she's right - the Cornish Pasty, or 'oggin' as it is known in Cornwall, is thought to have originated as lunch for tin miners who, since their hands were dirty, could hold it by the crust while they were eating it then throw the crust away. They believed that the crusts went to feed the 'knockers' - mischievous spirits who inhabited the mines and who would lead the miners to danger if they were not appeased. Who's to say that they weren't correct?
Here's a hoodie which, in addition to looking very cool, has the added advantage of having a pocket at the front for you to keep your pasty in. Just be careful with the cream.
