Back in the 1970's Larry Grayson finally got his big break after 30-odd years of touring around the working men's clubs of the North of England. With catchphrases like 'what a gay day', 'shut that door' and 'look at the muck in here' he often shocked unsuspecting television audiences with stories of his friends Everard Farqueharson, Slick Alice and Apricot Lil, along with characters like pop-it-in-Pete the postman and self-raising-Fred the baker. He then went on to present The Generation Game ('he seems like a nice boy') in the 1980's where he presided over camp chaos on a regular basis.
We don't know what he'd have thought of a retro t-shirt with GAY OUT OF 10 written on it, but we think it's pretty cool. Now will somebody please shut that door.
