Back in 1972 David Bowie released what to many people is his best album, 'The Rise And Fall Of Ziggy Stardust And The Spiders From Mars'. Bowie assumed the character of alien rock star Ziggy Stardust and his band at the time were called The Spiders From Mars, although it turns out that they weren't from Mars - they were actually from Hull.
