Basingstoke has no official boundary line and is known locally as 'Doughnut City' as it has a large number of roundabouts. No I can't quite work that out either. On 27th March 1881 troops had to be called in to break up a confrontation between evangelical Salvation Army members and local brewery workers, and these days many believe that a big cat known locally as the 'Beast Of Basingstoke' is regularly sighted around the outskirts of town, although without a boundary line I suppose that the 'outskirts of town' could be anywhere?
But, most importantly of all, Basingstoke sounds a bit like Amazingstoke to us, which is why we've produced this cool retro hoodie.
