But loads of Brits do – it’s been a leading seaside resort for over 250 years. Margate was the first place to introduce deckchairs on its sandy beaches, way back in 1898. Even Big Brother went there on holiday in 2006. With its famous amusement park, it’s been a hit for day trippers through the years.
