The 1980s were a curious period, we’re pretty much too young to remember them properly, but they certainly left their mark. One such mark was the advent of the fluorescent garment. Jesus, what a sight. It would not be uncommon to happen upon a child/youngster/teenager/young adult with a pair of odd socks on. Odd socks you say? Yes, nothing too crazy or funny about that particularly, but hold on a minute … one was bright neon pink, and the other bright neon green. That’s just silly.
