Top 10 Cool T-Shirt Designs We Wish We'd Thought Of
You know when you see someone walking down the street in cool tee and you think damn it if I had thought of that I would be
a millionaire. Well you are not the only ones, we have certainly wished we had thought of some of the cool tees we see
wandering around - on a person that is, not independently, 'cause that would just be weird…
10 The Money T-Shirt
Rock stars and money are two things that go together like tequila and lime and we're betting the man who made this t-shirt
a cult item indulged in both. Ian Brown of the Stone Roses was a classic rebel from Madchester, the money shirt with its
British pound notes round the collar was a simple but effective statement.
9 Team Jolie/Aniston
So you've just been dumped for another person what do you do, hide, drink and cry into your pillow? not in Hollywood where
it is be splashed all over the front pages and to twist the knife just that little bit further everyone can show their
loyalty on their t-shirt. But since celebs aren't real people no one feels bad about showing their loyalty to either the
girl next door or the super vamp, which team were you on?
8 Choose Life
This t-shirt celebrated one of the defining moments of British cinema, Trainspotting was controversial enough for your
parents to ban you from watching it and cause outcry with the press claiming it glamorised heroin. If that's your idea of
glamour then we must be Joan Collins!
7 Vote for Pedro
Following the Hollywood formula of geek made good this film could be just another teen movie, but its indie style and Heder's
dancing make this anything but predictable. Napoleon's best friend winning the election almost made us sniffle into our
popcorn but instead of getting mushy we like many other pledge our allegiance on our chests!
6 Bored of the Beckhams
This one doesn't need too much explaining, maybe they should have invested more of their time into being people rather
than a brand and we might not have grown weary of their perma tanned ways so quickly. Clearly you all agreed 'cause the
UK have bought more than a quarter of a million t-shirts and now that they have moved stateside the American public are now
joining in, with sales over there being more successful than David's football career!
5 Hi, how are you?
This t-shirt celebrated two of the great legends in one go, the image of the frog on the front is by musician Daniel Johnson
and it was worn by the legend Kurt Cobain while Nirvana performed Lithium at the 1992 MTV awards. This appearance thrust
the elusive Daniel Johnson into the limelight and made a cult following around his music and t-shirts.
4 Voting is for old people
This t-shirt caused widespread controversy upon its release in the US with a media storm that caused the sale of it to be
pulled from the shelves of Urban Outfitter's who were the distributing retailers. This was all sparked by a Florida student
who had had her irony removed and believed the t-shirts would encourage young people to stop voting. If they could be dissuaded
by a t-shirt they probably shouldn't be voting anyway, clearly they don't have the capacity for it.
3 Frankie Say Relax
From one banned item to another, who can forget the controversy that Frankie goes to Hollywood caused with their single
Relax? It seems that the 80's weren't quite ready for the overtly sexual nature of the song, despite being played and
featured on top of the pops, the BBC decided that they would not continue to play it because of its lewdness. This of
course meant that it reached number one and stayed there for 5 weeks, these days the boys wouldn't get a look in as being
controversial.
2 Che Guevara - Hasta la Victoria Siempre
Rebel hero or idealistic thug, whichever view you take you cannot deny that his image has become synonymous with fighting
for the masses and left wing politics. The t-shirt typically emblazoned with the quote Hasta La Victoria Siempre which
roughly translated means Until the Victory Always has become associated with teenagers displaying their first rebellious
tendencies. Oh and a couple of people who actually know what Guevara was on about.
1 Rolling Stones Tongue T-Shirt
If you don't know the t-shirt in question you must have been walking around with your eyes closed. The rebellious group,
who were the antidote to the cleaner cut Beatles, strutted around and pouted, not that you could miss Jagger's lips. They
are cemented in rock and roll history in this symbol and one of the best selling and iconic t-shirts of all time.
