Ladies Colchester We're The Kings With The Castle T-Shirt
At 9.18 a.m. on the 22nd April 1884 the Colchester or Great English Earthquake struck the village of Wivenhoe and it's surrounding area. Measuring 4.6 on the Richter scale and lasting for around 20 seconds it damaged around 1,200 buildings and was the most destructive earthquake to hit Britain for several hundred years.
