The Ford Escort was launched in 1967 as a replacement for the Anglia. Back then, Ford were a big name in motor sport and the Escort proved to be a successful rally car. It was used in the 1970 London to Mexico World Cup Rally – a marathon race that started at Wembley Stadium and finished in Mexico City, covering around 16,000 miles in the process. Out of the Top 10 finishers, 5 of them were driving Ford Escorts, including the winner. To celebrate, Ford launched a special edition of their top car, the Ford Escort Mexico. What a touching story. This t shirt comes in black with white and yellow print and almost looks as good as the car itself.
